According to the article published in the journal Addiction Rearch & Theory and distributed by the popular magazine Time, groups of drinkers have been divided into four popular references and named after Ernest Hemingway, Mary Poppins, Nutty Professor and Mister Hyde.
The largest group, with 40% of cases, is that of Ernest Hemingway, named in honor of the great American writer, author of "The Old Man and the Sea", who claimed that he was never noticed when he was drunk; it is therefore of drinkers drink which does not cause significant changes in personality. The Mary Poppins, who are named after the character in the 1964 Disney film, people are inherently extroverted, they become sweeter and even fun to drink alcohol. The Nutty Professor are described by the studio as introverted people uninhibited drinking and fail to exhibit a more sociable and confident character. Are finally called Mr. Hyde, who become less responsible, less intellectual and more hostile under the influence of alcohol. The authors say that this categorization could be used to tailor treatments to alcoholism, adapting to different personalities.
