Recent research reveals what percentage of the world population who can think

According to research conducted by Dr. Robert Swartz, the National Center for Teaching Thinking, a percentage of the population is dramatically low thinking, understanding the "thinking" as the task of reason and solve problems creatively; and this, according to Swartz itself, is not a minor detail: "Few people on the planet has learned to think more broadly and creatively. (...) The progress of humanity depends on this thought. "What is the percentage of population who can not think properly? Between 90 and 95%. Is this an inherent human characteristic, or is related to other factors? For the specialist, this is a cultural phenomenon, and its source is in schools; where people should learn to reason, and instead are pushed to memorize.
Made the diagnosis, Swartz also offers the recipe for the cure: to foster communication since childhood, and create active learning in school subjects and not passive as before; the key lies in critical thinking, which should be developed at the same time encourages empathy with fellow valuing others' ideas and teamwork.
